Help with the cost of a bike
To help more people in Scotland choose cycling instead of the car for shorter journeys, the Scottish Government has made funding available.
Available Funding in Scotland
The interest-free eBike loan is repaid over 4 years and entitles households to:
- Two ebikes to the value of £3000 each
- One family cargo or ecargo bike to the value of £6000
- One adapted cycle (value assessed on a case-by-case basis)
You could also ask your work if they offer a tax-free Cycle to Work Scheme to help with the cost of buying a bike. This can cut the cost by up to 40%. If your work doesn’t already offer it, you could encourage them to sign up!
THAT'S HOW MUCH THE CYCLE TO WORK SCHEME CAN CUT THE COST OF BUYING A BIKE
