A cosy home powered by
a heat pump

Scotland is living in a climate emergency and heating our buildings creates 18% of Scotland’s total emissions. Switching to a heat pump is one of the most effective ways to cut your household’s emissions and to enjoy a cosy home all day and night.

Consistently warm and cosy homes with fewer emissions

Heat pumps produce fewer carbon emissions than other heating systems because they run on electricity, which mostly comes from renewable sources. They can keep your home at a consistent temperature throughout the day and night, keeping it warm and cosy.

Grants up
to £9,000 available

Home Energy Scotland’s grant and loan scheme, funded by Scottish Government, can help with funding when switching to a heat pump with grants up to £9,000 available and an optional interest-free loan.
