This annual summit on climate change sees countries of the world come together to agree on commitments to tackle the global climate emergency.
Since 1995, COP milestones have included the Kyoto protocol, an international treaty which commits governments to reducing greenhouse emissions, and the Paris Agreement, which in 2016 saw attendees commit to a shared goal; to keep global warming to below 2, ideally 1.5 degrees Celsius.
